It’s my last big debrief with this squad before I leave the field. It feels good to all be back together in one place again. We’re hosted by La Montagne Costa Rica Christian Camp. I’m trying to soak up and learn and remember and be reminded as much as I can before the big change that’s coming.

Throughout the week, we see God do some pretty crazy stuff.

Just before we arrive, one of my squadmates had his ACL healed. That doesn’t happen y’all. That thing said: torn, and then it said: not torn anymore. That is medically impossible, ligaments do not heal on their own because blood does not flow to them. Somebody has to physically do surgery for those to recover, but Tito’s knee is CAPITAL H E A L E D, HEALED!!!!!! God is out here!!!!

Another one of our squadmates decided recently that she wanted to be delivered of ADHD. I got to be there for that and pray over her WITH THE DUDE WHO’S ACL GOT HEALED. She saw evidence of it when she listened to Tito’s whole testimony without feeling distracted and she sat in on an EIGHT HOUR, ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX SEVEN —-> EIGHT  teaching and did not feel distracted at. All. FOR THE WHOLE THING. No medicine. Just her before the Lord soaking in His goodness and learning about Him. To seal that deliverance up, I rebaptised her, symbolizing the death of that stronghold in her life and a refilling of the Holy Spirit.

And one girl had the Lord ask her why she’s never asked for healing in her eyes.(Parts one and two) So she did. As people were praying over her, she had a tangible improvement, which means that we need God to finish the work because her glasses and contact lenses physically won’t work anymore, AND she got slain in the spirit on the way. And this was by someone who has never had that happen through her prayers before, so you KNOW THAT THAT IS ALL SPIRIT NO FUNNY BUSINESS HERE!!! (To be slain in the spirit is when the holy spirit comes upon you so heavily that you sort of fall to the ground in response.)

So for a recap: one mostly physical healing, one mental/emotional healing, one spiritual healing(that’s right God doesn’t just want to heal THROUGH you, He wants to heal YOU!!).

Another one had her arm healed. Another one recieved her prayer language for the first time. Another one had emotional health breakthrough. A deaf ear opened right UP! And the list goes on and on and on and on and on. Testimony after testimony of God’s Goodness, Faithfulness, and Power. In one week. JUST ONE WEEK!!!!! It’s hard to believe HOW MUCH he wants to pour out to His kids. It’s His Kingdom coming to earth, but there’s something special in the idea that not only is He bringing His Kingdom here, but that He’s using US, HIS KIDS to do it. He puts it into our hands and cuts us loose on the earth. He wants to bring healing. He wants to bring the dead to life. He wants to deliver. He wants to reconcile. He wants life and life in the full for each and every one of us. Truly, truly, truly. In the last few months I’ve had desperation and overflow like never ever before. I saw fruit of that this week. Stay tuned for how all that spiritual growth happened, because let me tell you IT WAS A WILD RIDE.

In the meantime, enjoy that little breath and comfort. Know that God is on the move out here and that He’s letting all of I-Squad and myself have a little piece of it.

On a similar vein, you may have noticed that I wrote: “before the big change that’s coming” in a paragraph above. Unfortunately, I won’t be reurning to the field as a squad leader anytime soon. Not-so-unfortunately, it’s because I got hired on at AIM to be a mentor! Throughout the interview process, I got to review my values and ideals. I got very solidified in my passion for discipleship and what a DIFFERENCE it makes in the lives of Christians who recieve it vs Christians who do not.
“Go and make DISCIPLES of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to OBEY all that I have commanded you, and surely I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

What a shame that we have ignored and twisted much of this command. We don’t make disciples, we make converts, we surely don’t baptize them in water or in spirit save for two or three times a year once in a person’s lifetime, we don’t tend to teach people to obey His commandments these days since it’s risky, painful, confrontational, and offensive. We seem to be a little off-kilter in this whole thing to me.

I want to be a part of a generation that’s marked by radical, fearless faith. Who’s heart beats for the unreached, for the lost, who stare down death and don’t shrink back. Who are lights in dark places. Who do that calling “As they are going.” I want to be a part of a move of ‘little Christs’. A move of disciples that refuse to take one step in their own strength, but rely on the holy spirit. Who look like an Acts church, who do things not in their own strength but by the spirit of God. Who do what would be impossible without Him. I want to see the oppressed set free, the weak strengthened, the lost found, the broken hearted binded up.

Here’s a little video I made announcing the big news on my Facebook!

I whole heartedly believe and agree that this is God’s next step for me. When I signed up for my race back in 2018, I did not expect things to unfold the way they have, but I couldn’t be more glad that they did. I know that it’s only going to get WILDER and WEIRDER from here. Thank you God, for this journey that you have me on. I couldn’t be more grateful.

I’ll be recapping and sharing the end of my time in Guatemala, and all of my time in Costa Rica over the next weeks as we raise up our Squad leaders for I squad. Stick around on the adventure!

I will be beginning the fundraising process again very soon! If you find yourself able and willing, what I’m most in need of is monthly partners. Please contact me if you’d like to set that up. I’m so excited for my next step and to invite you into that journey too! Thank you for joining me!
